The Magda DX frames are made of lightweight, corrosion resistant graphite. These reels are fitted with precision cut brass gears for extra strength and long life durability. The stainless steel level wind feature distributes the line evenly for a flat line lay, reducing twists and tangles, and the oversized drag provides consistent smoothness and strength. When hooked with a fiberglass rod for pulling plugs on Oregon rivers it's difficult to beat.

Normaly you would meassure out a specific distance of 50 to 70 feet and put a bobber stop on the line to mark the distance. If the water conditions change from one trip to anothere you have to change the mark. With the counter you can change ditances easier to match river conditions such al clarity etc.
